As a Civil Marriage Celebrant Sandy is also legally obliged to view an original birth certificate of each partner (Australian citizens only), a current passport if born overseas, and evidence of termination of any previous marriages and/or change of names. For Australian citizens this documentation can be obtained through the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages within your state.
